Movement changes perspectives and creates moments between proximity and change, for participants and with elements. Whether analog, digital or even virtual, on location, simultaneously or in loose succession, a gallery (is) in motion, where everything revolves around the personal moment. And it is “indescribable” when people and media embark on a journey into the self. What lasts ? What will be ? Who can say? (read more...)

Using the example of two times three exhibitions plus real-time actions, the gallery in motion experiments with analog-digital interactions in different ways. On the wall, in the room, on the monitor, in motion and finally on the Internet, it is always about the personal moment: Actually “indescribable” and yet can be experienced with all our senses, provided we are and remain expectant.

The elements and topics of the exhibition series can be freely designed by the artists, revealing the analog-digital connection in different ways. Quite obviously, by interpreting “two-dimensional” movements “in 3D” [ Sarah Schröter : Wait a minute ], rather subtly through the choice of medium and form of expression [ Sabine Euler : Extremely golden ] or even by actively “negating the elementary” [ Sascha Röhricht : News from yesterday morning ].

The on-site presentations will attract visitors on the “days of action” [ Gallery FVKS.ONE, 18.01. – 11.02.2024, Thursday to Saturday, 2 – 6 pm ] and at the Midisage Happening on 02.02.2024 from 6 pm. Virtual exhibitions in 3D are available from 02.02. – 31.12.2024 here.

“More is always possible”, which is why the gallery in motion literally “keeps moving”. Spontaneous, new and different things are therefore the order of the day.

Sarah Schröter

Wait a minute!

Movement creates proximity and connects media worlds. Through dance-like expression, she turns the FVKS.ONE gallery into a place where analog, digital and virtual elements intertwine (–> Details & Start).

Sarah Schröter

Wait a minute!

Movement creates proximity and connects media worlds. Through dance-like expression, she turns the FVKS.ONE gallery into a place where analog, digital and virtual elements intertwine.

Details & Start

Sarah Schröter deals with the “instant” and the “moment”. Sarah is also particularly impressed by the way we deal with “time” in our fast-paced and information-flooded society. And derives her questions artistically from this: Does a higher everyday speed lead to more, and if so, to what? Does this change interpersonal relationships? What does it really mean to “slow down”?

To “pause”, “give space” and “reflect” – these are the focal points of her presentation. She takes a close look at emotions as our everyday companions. Fictitious “instants” then unfold into seemingly extended “moments” that become tangible and comprehensible for us:

“Deceleration”, “change of perspective” and space-filling questions result as personally expressed invitations to the viewer.

Sarah Schröter [Rothenburg O.L.] – artist and dance teacher, has been working in the Görlitz area for many years. She teaches dance with a focus on authentic movement, expressiveness and personal development.

She has been bringing her work as an artist/performer to the public since 2019. Sarah Schröter deals with the everyday questions of life and brings them impressively to the stage. With a great deal of sensitivity and empathy, she also artistically translates topics relating to interpersonal relationships: She enjoys exploring a wide range of expressive possibilities such as “emotional”, “abstract”, “simple”, “noisy” or “with color”. Particularly inspired by human traits, rhythm and life, she often fascinates her audience with a strong performance with quiet undertones. Sarah Schröter impressively loves and lives dance, expression, movement and encounters.

Sascha Röhricht

News from yesterday morning

He knows it exactly … and so do the visitors to the FVKS.ONE gallery: on site, digitally or virtually, it remains the same, because every morning brings something new, whether from yesterday, today or the future.

Details & Start

When Sascha Röhricht woke up from a deep sleep ten years ago, the “news from yesterday morning” reached him and told him in countless pictures and words about the unsuccessful attempt to organize the course of time with the help of Chronos and Kairos. He stood next to it with a piece of paper and pen, camera and lens, with intellect and exuberance, and found himself in the turmoil of the 21st century … .

The exhibited works are an excerpt from this journey through the last decade of the raging standstill and invite us to reflect on the state of a seemingly endless epoch of modernity. In times of digitalization and artificial intelligence, Sascha Röhricht focuses on the analogue worlds of words and images: what kind of messages can we transfer from this cosmos “of yesterday” to “tomorrow” and what do these “news” tell us about our inadequacies and the normativity of our lives ? Let’s open an old book and leaf through the newspapers of recent years. Perhaps we will find there exactly what we are constantly searching for in virtual realities without success … .

Sascha Röhricht [Görlitz] – artistic disciplines: poetry, photography, installation, performance art & land art, among others.

2007 – 2011 artistic formation “auf der Mecklenburger Scholle”; 2010 – 2012 artist supervisor for international actors as part of the residency program “Mecklenburg Inspiriert”; since 2011 freelance artist; since 2013 board member of the Görlitz Culture Club Wildwuchs e.V.; since 2016 lecturer for photography at Volkshochschule Görlitz; founding member of the artist group “Görlitzer Sukzession” in 2019; since 2021 board member of the Görlitz Culture Club STRE!FEN e.V. .

Sabine Euler

Extremely golden

With elements of ink, colored pencil and copy marker, she brings a friendly light into everyday life. “Extremely golden” permeates the FVKS.ONE gallery in various ways, analog, digital, virtual. And remains what it is … .

Details & Start

The fine streak of light on the horizon is always humor.

Every day, it fights its way through the grayest of cloud towers.

The streak of light knows no categories, no differences,

religion, gender, origin and opinion are all the same to him.

It shines for people of all shapes and sizes,

here and there a subtle smile shimmers back.

Then the darkness gives way to a bright joy of life,

no matter how complicated the relationship.

The longing to laugh together has a color:

extremely golden.

Sabine Euler [Görlitz] is an actress, but switched to advertise copywriting after a few years on stage due to an allergy to spotlights.

Since the birth of her first child, she has been working freelance and has been commuting full-time between the swimming pool, computer, drawing table and dishwasher. As a freelance cartoonist, author and illustrator, she combines her favorite parts of all the professions she has ever tried: she puts what she has seen, heard, spied on and experienced on paper with ink, colored pencil and copy marker, whereby her favorite subject remains her eventful life as a mother, woman and friend.

Her work can be seen in exhibitions in the German federal states of Hesse and Saxony, as well as virtually in 3D. In 2022, she won a Jankofsky Award from SuperIllu magazine. Her first book “Mother’s Days” with poems, stories and cartoons is currently available. The second work “Three Women, Four Arts” will be published soon.
